Tooth Whitening
Advice on whitening your teeth

1) Clean and Dry Trays
You may use your Invisalign aligner, removable retainer or whitening tray for tooth whitening at home

To start, make sure your trays/aligner/retainers are clean of any debris and relatively dry

If dirty, clean with either a mild soap/tooth paste then air dry or use kitchen roll paper

2) Place the Gel
Place the nozzle of the whitening gel on the inside front surface of the tray and dispense a tiny drop of gel per tooth

Usually I advise to do this in only the front 10 teeth in each tray ( molars are rarely seen)

3) Little and often
You only need a very small amount of gel per tooth slot ( see photo)

Less is more - too much gel will cause gum irritation and not necessarily make your teeth whiter quicker

Little and often - whitening with a small amount of gel, frequently over a long period will get the best results

4) Place the trays
Clean your teeth with toothpaste and insert the trays over your teeth

Wear for a minimum of 4-6 hours/or longer (if Carbamide Peroxide)

Wear for a minimum of 2 hours/or longer (if Hydrogen Peroxide)

I usually recommend sleeping with the whitening gel in is easiest and gets best results
